The LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business is proud to announce the induction of several distinguished individuals into its prestigious Hall of Distinction. The 2026 honorees are Marian Wilfert Beauchamp, Thomas “Tom” King, and, awarded posthumously, Robert “Bob” T. Justis. The college will also award Lauren C. Taylor with the Outstanding Young Alum Award, recognizing her remarkable early career achievements and leadership.
As cryptocurrency continues to gain traction in the marketplace, how should policymakers balance innovation with investor protection? Professor Rajesh Narayanan in the LSU Department of Finance recently penned an op-ed for The Center Square examining the crypto market structure legislation now advancing in Congress. He asks whether its proposed carve-outs could undermine the safeguards that make markets safe, even as digital assets offer opportunities to improve efficiency and broaden access.
